Austin-Bergstrom International Airport is a multi-use facility, the airport serves general aviation, commercial aviation, the State Aircraft Pooling Board, and the Texas Army National Guard. Restaurants and shops with a local flavor attract thousands of passengers. A central courtyard area in the Barbara Jordan Terminal offers a stage area where "Live" Austin music greets visitors and welcomes home Austinites, while showcasing the best of Austin's diverse music scene.

"The Stage" is next to the Highland Lakes Bar located in the center of the terminal building on the concourse level. "Lefty's Bar and Grille" is located on 6th Street near gate 18.  Each Thursday evening, airport visitors may enjoy live music at the "Hill Country Bar".  Live music performances are located on the secure side of the concourse, accessible to ticketed passengers only. Performances are made possible through the Department of Aviation in cooperation with Delaware North Companies.
